Basketball
Pat played basketball all four years here at McClancy including three as a member of the varsity team. He led the team to the City Championship game as a junior in 1971. After graduating from McClancy, Pat attended St. Paul’s Prep. School in Garden City. From there he went to Hofstra University where he played basketball from 1973 to 1977, including a trip to the N.C.A.A. in 1976 to 1977. After graduating from Hofstra, Pat played basketball professionally in Argentina in 1978.
Pat returned from Argentina in 1979 to work in his father’s tavern which he eventually bought from him in 1982. That same year, Pat married his wife Denise, and occupational therapist. Pat and Denise have two children, Alison, 20, a junior at Loyola College in Maryland studying Speech Language Pathology (she is currently studying in Spain … explaining why she is not with us this evening), and Patrick, 17, a senior at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore.
Pat is currently working in Sales as an Account Executive for YellowBook USA, Reckson Plaza, in Uniondale, NY.
