Marcellus Matricciano was born on July 1, 1970. At the age of three, he began to show an interest in music. His parents bought him a small toy piano and when they saw how happy he was when he played it, they bought a real piano. He began to take piano lessons until the age of fourteen.
Marcellus had a cheerful personality, was very friendly and liked by many people. He was always the center of attention, especially at family gatherings. He was very knowledgeable and well informed about everything and boy, could he talk!
He attended elementary years at Our Lady of Fatima School, high school at Monsignor McClancy Memorial High School and Baruch College where he earned a degree for Financial Administration.
Marcellus enjoyed reading, music, soccer and cycling most of all. As he got older, he was fascinated by “Wall Street”. He read the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and the latest financial information. He was Wall Street’s biggest fan and his dream came true when he ended up working for a stock firm called “Cantor Fitzgerald”.
Marcel was a loving son, husband and father. Oh! How he loved his son, Nicholas. He lived his life for him and also his wife, Rosie.
Words cannot describe how much the Matriccianos miss their son, Marcellus. They would sacrifice anything to have him back. Their love for him will remain in their hearts forever.
They will cherish the good memories until they can see each other in heaven. He will forever be remembered to all who knew him as ambitious and someone who stopped at nothing until he achieved his goal.
