Larry Erickson ’76

Larry Erickson was born in Woodside and was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Although he played many sports, including football and baseball, upon entering McClancy he was identified as having the talent and determination necessary to be a successful runner. He set many school records individually as well as being a member of many record-setting relay teams. He was President of the National Honor Society and was awarded the Scholar-Athlete Award for his graduating class.

After leaving McClancy, Larry continued his running career at Rutgers University where his team finished as high as 15th in the nation during one of his cross country seasons. He set many personal running records as well as breaking the school record in the marathon.

Larry has worked in the securities industry his entire professional career and is currently an equity trader at Highland Asset Management in New York City. Larry lives in Piscataway, NJ with his wife Erina, and his two sons, Ian and Andrew.
