Cedric Jordan ’91

2014 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee 

Cedric started his journey at Saint Clement Pope Elementary.  This school is where the Brother’s of Sacred Heart assisted his development. In the fall of 1991, he attended Monsignor McClancy finding a passion for track and field, initially doing shot put. Later finding a strong love for running under Coach James Carey.

During his freshman year Cedric won the Brooklyn – Queens Championships in 100 and 200 meters.  He also placed second in the City Championship 4x200m relay. In the fall of his sophomore year, Cedric was moved to Varsity team.  At this stage, he tied 55 meter record and won the Brooklyn – Queens Indoors Championships. In outdoor season he won the Varsity 200m and the sophomore 100 and 200m Brooklyn – Queens Championships.

In his junior year he won a third Brooklyn – Queens Championships in 100 and 200 meters. Then finally as a junior he won Varsity City Championships in both events, while the entire team captured the City title.

He sustained this success during his senior year. He removed undefeated in 100 and 200 m in Brooklyn – Queens Championships, and two years in the City Championships.

Upon graduating from McClancy Cedric moved to England working in Education and Culture Department with young adults, providing them a better opportunity for life.

He is currently back in the United States pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology.
