Brendan F. McCabe was born November 12, 1960 to John and the late Jane McCabe of Rego Park, Queens. He attended Resurrection Ascension during his formative years and went on to complete his high school education at Monsignor McClancy High School. After graduating from McClancy in June of 1978, Brendan went on to work at Morgan Guaranty and Trust Company as a clerk in the custody department. In January of 1980, he took a position at Fiduciary Trust Company International. He spent most of his professional career at Fiduciary, now known as Franklin Templeton. During the 20 years of service to Fiduciary, he climbed his way up the corporate ladder. He began in the Purchase and Sales Department and then moved up to Senior Trader where he managed all the trading in the over the counter, listed and convertible securities. In 1998, Brendan became a Vice President at Fiduciary Trust Company International.
On March 29, 1992, Brendan married Terri Andrews. In 1996, the McCabe family moved to Long Island with their two boys. As the years would pass Brendan’s family would continue to grow with the addition of another boy by June of 1997. And finally, daddy’s little girl was born in December of 2000.
Brendan was well respected among his friends and colleagues for his honesty and integrity. His desire to serve the Lord earnestly and with all his heart was evident as he taught a men’s bible study at The West Sayville Reformed Bible Church. He also served on the school board as financial secretary at West Sayville Christian School.
